CASTRO VALLEY, CA-After suffering another injury at a recent a-star game, that didn't deter
star Castro Valley athlete Namane Modise from accomplishing his dreams at a collegiate scholarship.
Just hours after receiving an offer from Minot State in North Dakota, he opted to commit to the
division two university for football.
"I'm just ready to get to work on the field and get my education and degree," said Modise.
In his final season at Castro Valley, he accounted for over 1,800 all-purpose yards and emerged
into one of the top athletes in the Bay Area. He also earned 1st Team All-WACC honors at thee different
spots, becoming the first Castro Valley athlete to ever do so.
The future at Minot State is promising after the commitment from Modise. Despite the 1-10 record in
2015, a strong incoming class appears to have the program heading in the right direction.
With Modise as one of the top players coming in, that should only be beneficial to the up-and-coming
program at Minot State.
