Player of the Year: Nsimba Webster
Heralded as one of the top dual-threat quarterbacks in Northern California, Deer Valley quarterback Nsimba Webster lived up to the hype throwing for over 2000 yards and running for over 1500 in his senior campaign. The Robert Griffin III type quarterback was named the BVAL MVP, and currently holds offers from Portland State and Sacramento State. Football runs in the family for Webster with his twin brother Nzuzi being the star receiver and defensive back for the the Wolverines. Also, cousin Joe Mixon is rated as one of the top running backs in the nation holding over 51 offers. Deer Valley finished in second place in BVAL due in large part to Nsimba and also advanced to the NCS semifinals for the first time in school history.
