Hunter Mercado-Hood (De La Salle, Sr.): The San Diego-bound outfielder went 3-for-4 with a home run in
an 18-2 Wednesday over Livermore and went 4-for-4 with 4 RBI’s including a walk off home run in a 5-3 win
over rival Cal on Thursday. Position-Outfield
Jacob Payne (Granada, Sr.): Payne pitched six innings, allowing just three hits while striking out
seven Mustangs batters in a 6-0 win over Monte Vista, which gave Granada its first EBAL title
since 1992. Position-Pitcher
Chris Clements (Pacific Grove, Jr.): Clements pitched a complete game shutout in an 4-0 win over King’s
Academy on Wednesday. He has been a key part in Pacific Grove’s 28-0 record this season. Position-Pitcher

Nick Truex (Cal, Sr.): Nick went 5-for-7 this week and helped the Grizzlies to wins over Granada
(#2 in the country) and Amador Valley. Position-Left Field
Casey Soltis (Granada, Jr.): The Oregon-bound Soltis went 2-for-3 in an 8-4 win over De La Salle
on Friday with a 2-run triple and has been a key part in the Matadors #2 national ranking. Position-Right Field
Jack Thoreson (Bellarmine, Jr.): Thoreson went 2-for-4 and scored five of the Bells’ runs to help
Bellarmine win the WCAL title over Serra and jump to the third spot in the latest Bay Area baseball rankings.

Joe DeMers (College Park, So.): Snyder pitched a complete game shutout giving up just three hits in
a 1-0 win over College Park on Wednesday. Position-Pitcher
