Week 11 Players of the Week

Jason Hinton
High School: Moreau Catholic        Position: RB        Year: Sr.
Hinton broke an NCS single-game rushing record as he finished with 473 yards and
5 touchdowns in a 54-50 loss to Piedmont.

Joe Mixon
High School: Freedom        Position: RB        Year: Sr.
Proclaimed as one of the nation's top recruits with 51
college offers, Mixon ran for 281 yards and 7 touchdowns
in a 55-17 victory over Foothill in the 1st round of the NCS
Playoffs, after falling to Foothill 32-6 the 2nd week of the
season.

High School: San Ramon Valley    Position: QB        Year: Sr.
Just one day after head coach Mark Kessler being fired, the Stanford
baseball commit threw for 324 yards and 5 touchdowns in a 42-24 victory
over San Leandro.

Malik Blackburn
High School:
Concord        Position: RB        Year: Jr.
Only a junior, Blackburn ran for 220 yards and 2 touchdowns on 10
carries in a 48-6 win over Mt. Diablo.

Miles Harrison
High School: Clayton Valley        Position: RB        Year: Sr.
Harrison is having a stellar junior campaign, adding to it with 295 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns
to help Clayton Valley clinch the outright DVAL title in a 56-28 win at Northgate.

Isaiah Langley
High School: Foothill        Position: WR/RB/DB        Year: Jr.
Langley had another fine performance, grabbing 2 interceptions on defense
while also rushing for 91 yards and 3 touchdowns, and hauling in a 21-yard
touchdown reception in a 41-14 victory over crosstown rival Amador Valley.
The junior holds offers from Cal, Oregon State and UCLA.

Nsimba Webster
High School: Deer Valley        Position: QB        Year: Sr.
Webster had an astounding game Friday night rushing for 216 yards and throwing for 90 in a
31-20 victory over Heritage. He currently holds offers from Portland State and Sacramento State.

Week 9 Players of the Week

Drew Anderson
High School: Miramonte        Position: QB        Year: Sr.
Anderson threw for 372 yards and 5 touchdowns in a 42-21 victory over Las Lomas.

Blake Bierwith
High School: California                     Position: RB                         Year: Sr.
Bierwith ran for 165 yards and 2 touchdowns, including a 78-yard touchdown run, in a 21-3
victory at Livermore, helping Cal claim its first ever outright EBAL title.

High School: San Ramon Valley     Position: RB         Year: Sr.
De La Pena had a huge effort in a 54-42 win over Foothill running for 154 yards and 5
touchdowns. He gained 112 yards and 4 touchdowns alone in the first half. 



Tanner Wraa
High School: Clayton Valley        Position: RB        Year: Sr.
Wraa finished with 126 yards rushing and a touchdown on 7 carries along with a 41-yard touchdown reception in a 49-48 win
over Concord in the ClayCord Cup.

Ryan Anderson
High School: Foothill        Position: WR        Year: Sr.
Anderson finished with 134 yards receiving on 8 catches in a 31-21 win
against Granada.

Squally Canada
High School: Milpitas        Position: RB        Year: Sr.
Canada rushed for 197 yards and 2 touchdowns in a 31-28 thriller over Palo Alto. He currently holds 10 offers, including both Oregon
and Oregon State.
Malik Hutchings
High School: Deer Valley        Position: LB        Year: Sr.
Hutchings accounted for 12 tackles and an interception in a 28-6 victory over Liberty. He holds offers from Hawaii, Portland State, UC Davis,
and UTEP.

Isaiah Langley
High School:
Foothill          Position: WR                        Year: Jr.
After receiving an offer from UCLA on Thursday, Langley 73 yards rushing and 1
touchdown along with 82 receiving yards in a 31-21 win over Granada. His 36 yard 
touchdown sealed the deal for the Falcons.
 


Ahki Muhammed
High School: James Logan        Position: RB        Year: Sr.
The Nevada-Reno bound Muhammed had 152 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns on 11 carries in a 41-14 win over Washington-Fremont. His night was highlighted
by a 65 yard touchdown run, which gave Logan an early 14-0 lead.

Harris Ross
High School:
Pittsburg                       Position: RB                         Year: Sr.
Ross ran for 286 yards and 3 touchdowns of 42, 56, and 22 yards in a 34-13 victory
over Freedom. He broke the single-season and career rushing marks at Pittsburg
on Friday.

Mitchell Daniels
High School:
Concord       Position: QB                         Year: Jr.
Daniels finished with 322 passing yards and four touchdowns in a 30-28 victory over
Northgate and has surpassed 1800 yards this season.


Ray Jackson
High School: College Park               Position: RB                         Year: So.
Only a sophomore, Jackson ran for 171 yards and a 66-yard touchdown on 9 carries in a
47-7 win against Mt. Diablo.

Kyle McDonald
High School: Deer Valley                  Position: RB                         Year: Sr.
McDonald had 194 yards rushing and three touchdowns, highlighted by a 72-yard touchdown
run, on six carries in a 49-7 win over Antioch.

Cameron Owen
High School:
California                     Position: QB                         Year: Sr.
Owen threw for 192 yards and one touchdown while also running for 68 yards in a close
31-28 victory over Monte Vista to help Cal remain undefeated in East Bay Athletic League play.

Vince Volpatti
High School: Valley Christian-Dublin             Position: RB         Year: Sr.
Volpatti had a career game rushing for 311 yards and four touchdowns in a 40-14 win over
St. Patrick/St. Vincent and has over 1300 rushing yards this season.

Week 6 Players of the Week

Drew Anderson
High School: Miramonte                   Position: QB                         Year: Sr.
Anderson was an instrumental piece in Miramonte’s 41-28 victory over Acalanes throwing
for 276 yards and three touchdowns, highlighted by a 50-yard strike to Ray Clark.

Miles Harrison
High School: Clayton Valley             Position: RB                         Year: Jr.
Harrison continued his stellar season as he cruised to 175 yards rushing and 5 touchdowns
while adding to that one receiving touchdown in a 71-14 win against College Park.

Jack Heneghan
High School: Menlo                            Position: QB         Year: Sr.
Heneghan threw for 349 yards and 4 touchdowns alongside a 1 touchdown run in an
impressive 47-40 victory over McClymonds, and has surpassed 1500 passing yards
this season.


 

Week 5 Players of the Week

Marcus De La Pena
High School: San Ramon Valley     Position: RB         Year: Sr.
De La Pena rushed for 204 yards and 4 touchdowns in a 41-10 victory over Livermore. 
He currently fields an offer from Wyoming.

Malik Hutchings
High School: Deer Valley                  Position: LB         Year: Sr.
Hutchings forced four fumbles while also recording 19 tackles in a 45-34 win over
Vacaville. He currently holds offers from Hawaii, UC Davis, and UTEP.

Nsimba Webster
High School: Deer Valley                  Position: QB         Year: Sr.
Nsimba Webster, who currently holds an offer from Sacramento State, ran for 250 yards
and 2 touchdowns while also throwing for 235 yards and 1 touchdown in a 45-34
win against Vacaville

Week 4 Players of the Week

Kava Cassidy
High School: Serra                             Position: RB         Year: Jr.
Cassidy ran for 180 yards and 2 touchdowns along with one receiving touchdown in a 48-15
win against Buhach Colony-Atwater.

Eric Haynes
High School: Northgate                     Position: RB         Year: Sr.
Haynes cruised to 174 yards and 2 touchdowns on 19 carries in a 45-8 victory over Antioch.

Joe Mixon
High School: Freedom                      Position: RB         Year: Sr.
Mixon rushed for 260 yards and 6 touchdowns in a 48-21 win over Castro Valley. He was
also presented with his U.S. Army All-American Bowl Game jersey.

Jake Smith
High School: Northgate                     Position: TE         Year: Sr.
Smith finished with 143 yards and one touchdown on 5 catches in a 45-8 win against
Antioch.

John Velasco
High School: De La Salle                  Position: RB         Year: Sr.
Velasco rushed for 193 yards and one touchdown on 16 carries in a 47-21 victory over San
Ramon Valley

Nsimba Webster
High School: Deer Valley                  Position: QB         Year: Sr.
Nsimba Webster dominated as he threw for 181 yards and 2 touchdowns while also rushing
for 149 yards and 3 touchdowns on 16 carries in a 37-34 thriller over San Leandro. His night
was highlighted by an 80-yard touchdown run.

Week 3 Players of the Week

Antoine Custer
High School: De La Salle                  Position: RB         Year: So.
Custer, only a sophomore, rushed for 103 yards and 1touchdown on 10 carries while also
finishing with 32 receiving yards on 2 catches in a 41-3 victory against Del Oro.

Lavance Warren
High School: McClymonds               Position: RB         Year: Jr.
Warren ran for 169 yards and 1 touchdown on 19 carries in a 44-22 win over Valley Christian-Dublin.

Andrew Zolintakis
High School: Campolindo                                Position: QB         Year: Sr.
Zolintakis had a monster game completing 15-of-25 passes for 305 yards and 3 touchdowns in
a 42-27 upset over El Cerrito.


 

Week 2 Players of the Week

Blake Bierwith

High School: Cal    Position: RB    Year: Sr.
Bierwith rushed for 209 yards and 5 touchdowns on
23 carries in a 48-31 win over Castro Valley.

Jason Hinton

High School: Moreau Catholic    Position: RB    Year: Jr.
Hinton ran for an astounding 334 yards and 5 touchdowns in
a thrilling 50-43 victory against Mt. Eden. His night was highlighted
by 2 kickoff returns for touchdowns.

Kyle Kearns

High School: Foothill    Position: QB    Year: Jr.
Kearns completed 18-of-24 passes for 316 yards and 1 touchdown
in a 31-6 win over Las Lomas.

Harris Ross

High School: Pittsburg    Position: RB    Year: Sr.
Ross ran for an NCS record 468 yards and 7 touchdowns in a
49-29 victory over Monte Vista. His performance was ranked 4th
in Northern California history. He currently holds offers from
Eastern Washington and Sacramento State.

Week 1 Players of the Week

Trevor Bearden

High School: Live Oak    Position: RB    Year: Sr.
Bearden ran for 401 yards and 4 touchdowns on 26 carries in a
52-41 win against Gilroy.

Anthony Gordon

High School: Terra Nova    Position: QB    Year: Jr.
Gordon completed 18-of-30 passes for 362 yards and 3 touchdowns
en route to a 45-7 victory over Bishop O'Dowd.

Andrei Kasten

High School: Livermore    Position: WR    Year: Sr.
Kasten had 107 yards receiving and two touchdowns on 4 catches in a 49-0
victory over Hayward. Kasten is also a star high jumper for the Livermore
track & field team.

Isaiah Langley

High School: Foothill    Position: WR    Year: Jr.
Langley totaled 162 yards of offense highlighted by an 82-yard
receiving touchdown in a 32-6 victory over Freedom. He finished with 126 yards receiving
on 3 catches and 42 rushing yards on 4 carries. Langley currently holds an offer from Cal.

Harris Ross

High School: Pittsburg    Position: RB    Year: Sr.
Ross had an outstanding game last Friday rushing for 233 yards and 4 touchdowns on
30 carries in a 35-33 win over Cal. He currently holds offers from Eastern Washington
and Sacramento State.

Javonn Williams

High School: Granada    Position: WR/DB    Year: Sr.
Williams had 112 yards receiving and a 70-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Tyler
Offill in a 35-14 win over Antioch. The highlight of his night was a 91-yard interception
returned for a touchdown.

Week 0 Players of the Week

Andrew Celis

Position: WR    School: Marin Catholic    Year: Sr.
Nevada-bound Andrew Celis finished with 158 yards receiving and two total touchdowns.
Celis had a 60-yard punt return for a touchdown and a 34-yard receiving touchdown.

Miles Harrison

Position: RB    School: Clayton Valley    Year: Jr.
Harrison ran for 175 yards and one touchdown in a 34-14 loss against a stout De La Salle
defense. Despite leaving in the first half with a hip injury, Harrison still had a remarkable game
picking apart the Spartans defense.

Demareyeh Lane

Position: RB    School: Castro Valley    Year: Sr.
Lane finished with 163 yards and two rushing touchdowns on 26 carries while also having
a 35-yard interception return for a touchdown in a 57-56 overtime win at Monte Vista.

Colin McAlvain

Position: QB    School: Windsor    Year: Sr.
McAlvain completed 20-of-29 passes for 332 yards and three touchdowns and had a 6-yard touchdown run
with 18 seconds left to give Windsor the 39-36 victory and complete the remarkable 22-point comeback.

Joe Mixon

Position: RB/S    School: Freedom    Year: Sr.
Mixon rushed for 198 yards and three touchdowns and also has an interception for a touchdown in a 35-28 loss to Amador Valley.
He is one of the most highly-sought recruits in the nation.

Namane Modise

Position: RB    School: Castro Valley    Year: Jr.
Modise ran for 222 yards and four touchdowns in a 57-56 overtime win over Monte Vista.
His performance included touchdown runs of 80 and 62 yards.

John Velasco

Position: RB    School: De La Salle    Year: Sr.
Velasco rushed for 184 yards and three touchdowns in a 34-14 win over
Clayton Valley on Friday. His strong performance included a long 56-yard
touchdown run on their second play from scrimmage

Michael White

Position: RB    School: Amador Valley    Year: Sr.
White rushed for 188 yards and three touchdowns in a 35-28 win at Freedom. He had touchdown
runs of 63, 49 and 5 yards.
